Bishopswood Bloodstock is situated on a former 135 acre dairy farm in a delightful part of the Vale of Taunton, a few miles north west of Wellington with J26 of the M5 being just 15 minutes away.

 

The stud has operated on a small scale, breeding commercially for the Flat, for around 12 years now and during that time we have bred several winners from very few mares, including the Listed winners MONSIEUR BOULANGER and WALNUT LADY, the 109 rated 3yo FAREER, the 90 rated two year old ANGEL SPRINTS plus REVEUR, BOND CASINO, RED BAMBOO, MONTESINO, JOLLY GOOD (winner of three 2yo races in Italy and €17,500 in 2007), CARNIVAL DREAM , NOVABRIDGE and foaled and raised TRY THE CHANCE. Placed horses include PASSIONATE, ONE ALONE, BLACK DRAFT, MARIANIS and PLACE THE DUCHESS.

 

 

                                                                                       

 2006 saw our BAHAMIAN BOUNTY colt ex SONGSHEET (bred in partnership with Trickledown) sell for 70,000gns in November - he was re-sold in October 2007 for 160,000gns, being purchased by Shadwell. Other foals have sold to 28,000gns.
